ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO KITTILÄ AIRPORT, BEYOND THE ARCTIC CIRCLE
Private transfer from the airport to your hotel, right in the heart of Levi village centre.

DAY 2: HUSKY SAFARI & KAMMI DINNER
Transfer to a local husky farm - meet & greet the friendly dogs. Get a short lesson on how to ride a sledge pulled by these husky dogs. During the 4km safari you will ride across frozen rivers and snowy forests. After the safari enjoy hot drinks & snacks in a traditional kota with open fire. Return transfers are included.

Dinner is a short walk from your hotel. The atmospheric kammi restaurant is a traditional wooden hut, lit only by fire and candles. The Feast of Reindeer is served by open fire - vegetarian and fish options are included.

DAY 3: GLASS IGLOOS
Full day to explore Levi on your own - perhaps take a ski pass and rent ski equipment from the rental shop, visit the Sami village up on the Levi fell, or take an optional activity such as a snowmobiling tour.

Your overnight stay in a glass igloo in the heart of the nature gives a perfect opportunity to observe the Northern Lights, if the conditions are right. Each glass igloo is well equipped with a kitchenette, shower and toilet. The windows are insulated and electrically heated to keep them from frosting. In addition, the igloos have a radio/CD player, and a hair dryer. At the centre of the igloo is a motorised double bed that can be converted into twin beds. Transfers from your Levi hotel are included.

DAY 4: DEPARTURE HOME
Transfer back to the airport for flights home.

These additional activities can be either included in advance, or the same or similar can be purchased on-the-spot. Please note optional tours on-the-spot should be booked either from the hotel or safari company directly. Prices may vary.

DAY TRIP TO ROVANIEMI
Visit Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland located on the Arctic Circle. Rovaniemi is the official home of Santa Claus. Visit Santa Claus village where you can meet Santa himself and send cards from Santa’s post office.

SNOWMOBILE SAFARI TO WILDERNESS
Enjoy a 2 hour snowmobile tour around the snow-covered landscapes. During this fun safari, you’ll learn how to snowmobile along frozen rivers and through forests covered with snow. Safari available every day from 15.00 – 17.00.

SNOWMOBILE SAFARI TO REINDEER FARM
A snowmobile safari to a reindeer farm. Learn about Lappish culture and reindeer husbandry. Receive your own international reindeer driver's license and participate in a special Lapp ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. Safari available Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10.00 – 13.00.

AURORA BOREALIS SAFARI BY SNOWMOBILE
Come and experience an exotic Arctic evening by driving through snow-covered forests and over frozen lakes by snowmobile. With a little luck, if the sky is clear, the moon, stars and even the Northern Lights may show you the way. Enjoy a delicious snack and warm drinks around an open fire. Safari available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 18:00 - 21:00.
